The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Sunday night in the Neuville Community.

According to Investigator Chad Brown, the call came in around 10:30 p.m. of a single gun-shot to an unidentified victim on FM 417.

The individual was taken by life-Air Rescue to University Health in Shreveport with an undisclosed injury.

Investigator Brown did not say if the gunshot was self-inflicted or by another suspect. The investigation continues.
