Local Sports Round up 8/26/14; Don Wall's Shelby County Coaches' Show makes season debut tonight

The 19th season of Don Wall’s Shelby County Coaches’ Show debuts tonight at 7 p.m. on Center Broadcasting’s Q-100, KQBB. The veteran sportscaster has been calling local high school sports for over 30 years, and says the coaches’ show will inform the fan on a week-to-week basis during the season, and be entertaining.

The shows opens with Tenaha’s Terry Ward, followed by Wayne Gandy of Joaquin, Kevin Goodwin of Center at 8 p.m., and Jason Ferguson of Shelbyville closing out the two-hour program. Don says we could see a first this high school season, with all four of the Shelby County teams included on the show possibly making the playoffs.

That’s Don Wall’s Shelby County Coaches Show, at 7 p.m. Tuesday nights on Q-100, KQBB and online at cbc-radio.com. Later this week on this newscast, Don will preview the Shelby County teams and their expectations this season.

The high school football season kicks-off Friday night, and the local schedule includes the Center Roughriders at Waskom to take on last years' state semi-finalist.
