Recreational Use Study on streams set for Wednesday in San Augustine

The Texas A&M University and TCEQ will be conducting an informational meeting about their current Recreational Use Study on streams in East Texas at 6 p.m. tomorrow night in the BBVA Bank Conference Room, at 123 S. Harrison Street in San Augustine. A Recreational Use Attainability Analysis is being carried out on Ayish Bayou in San Augustine County. Joe Martin, with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and John Baker, with Texas AgriLife Research and Extension, Texas A & M University, will present information about the Recreational Use Attainability Analysis. They will also be available to talk with local residents about their knowledge of the stream, how they use the stream for recreation, and locations where recreation occurs on the stream.
