The Tenaha ISD held their annual Teacher Award & Appreciation Luncheon Friday. Current and former school board members, the city council, community leaders, and local media and pastors of the area were invited to the event.
Superintendent Scott Tyner said Tenaha ISD is proud of their educators and support staff, and their dedication to educating students.
State Rep. Chris Paddie was also on hand.
Among the award recipients were: “The Floyd A. (Dock) Watson Superintendent Star Awards: Jose Leos, Jessica Holeckek, Carrie Jenkins, Jonathan Vick, Laurie Sisk, Walter Peddy, Tanesa Walker, Deborah Hill, Diann Hayes, David Jeter, Brenda Farmer, Coach Todd Bodden, Garry Davison, Mistie Davison and Janice Williams.
The “Paulyne Evans Harris Award” for outstanding support service person of the year: Phyllis Thompson
The “Lela Beth Harris Award” for outstanding para-professional of the year: Amanda Hall
The “Annice Knight Award”, the superintendent’s “Care” award: Pat Sims
The “Ruth Templin Award”, Tenaha ISD’s unsung hero award: Linda Bellamy
The “Gladys Horton Award”, Tenaha ISD Teacher of the Year Grades PK-6: Teresa Latham
The “Billie Jean Kay Award”, the Tenaha HS Teacher of the Year Grades 7-12: Josh Furlow
The “Tom Jones Award”, the Tenaha “Loyal” Tiger Award: Terry Bowlin
The “Charles Williams Award”, the “Tiger Way” Award: Stacie Barr
The “Cathy Moore Award”, Tenaha ISD Professionalism Award: Steven Farmer
The “Waylon Moore Award”, Tenaha School Most Valuable Employee of the Year: Stella Baker
