Graduations on tap this week, top ranking seniors named

High School graduation is this week for the Class of 2014, as most graduates will receive their diplomas on Friday. Tenaha's High School's graduation ceremony will be at 7 on Thursday night at the special events center. Here's a rundown of graduation exercises planned for May 30. Center High School graduation is at 8 p.m. at Roughrider Stadium; Timpson High School graduation is 7 p.m. at Bear Stadium; Joaquin's graduation is at 8 p.m. next Friday at the gym; Shelbyville High School has their graduation at 7 p.m. in the gym on May 30; Broaddus' graduation is at 8 p.m. in the high school gym; and Garrison seniors graduate at 8 p.m., this Saturday, at Bulldog Stadium. San Augustine graduates will walk the stage at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 6 at Wolf Stadium. Congratulations to the Class of 2014.

 

The Class of 2014 top honor graduates from area high schools include: Center-Valedictorian is Megan Nehring and Salutatorian is Madison Davis; Joaquin’s top graduate is Saul Ruiz, with Caleb Hill the second ranking senior; Shelbyville’s valedictorian is Emma Walker and Josie Fuller is Salutatorian; at Tenaha, the valedictorian is Cinthya Leos and salutatorian is Sierra Collins, and Garrison’s top three graduates are, valedictorian Lauren Mitchell, salutatorian Hannah Kimbrough and historian is Kaelyn Stanaland. Timpson’s top-two honor graduates are twin brothers. Jace Archer is valedictorian and Cade Archer is salutatorian.
