Fernando Rabago Garza, 79, of Center, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Nacogdoches.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2023, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Pastor Ramos officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Born July 3, 1943, in Melchor Múzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, Fernando is the son of Fernando Garza and Beatriz Rabago Garza. When not collecting cans and scrap metal, he enjoyed dancing and watching old Mexican movies.

He is survived by his children, Fernando C. Garza of Center, Jesus C. Garza of St. James, Missouri, Josefa C. Garza of Center, Gloria M. Garza of Center, and Guadalupe M. Melgarejo of LeHigh Acres, Florida; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Garza; son, Jose Garza; parents, Fernando Garza and Beatriz Rabago Garza; and brothers, Jose Luis Garza and Roberto Garza.

Garza de St. James, Missouri, Josefa C. Garza de Center, Gloria M. Garza de Center y Guadalupe M. Melgarejo de LeHigh Acres, Florida; once nietos; y quince bisnietos.
