Joe O’Neal “Possum” Watkins, aged 65 years, passed away on November 5, 2021, at his home in Center, Texas.

Per Joe O’Neal’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Joe O’Neal is survived by his sister, Debbie and husband Walter Holland of Center, Texas; sister, Patricia and husband Steve Dean of Nacogdoches; brother, Tony Watkins of Nacogdoches, Texas; sister, Angela Susan Stripling of Palestine, Texas; and sister, Kimberly and husband Larry Plentl of Brookeland, Texas.

He leaves behind several aunts, nieces, and nephews.  He also leaves behind many friends, including his best friend, Jack Wright of Center, Texas.

Joe O’Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Joe Watkins and Mae Watkins of Center, Texas; brother-in-law, William Stripling III; and sister-in-law, Cecilia Watkins.
