Anna Patricia Bailey Hooper

 

 

Anna Patricia Bailey Hooper left this life on February 8, 2020 after a lengthy illness at
her home in Waxahachie, with her beloved son and daughter at her bedside.


Patricia was born to Sherrill T. and Elisabeth Moses Bailey on February 25, 1947 in
Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Timpson High School in 1965, where she was
Drum Major of the award-winning Timpson Bear Band. She attended East Texas Baptist
University and Stephen F. Austin State University. Patricia was an accomplished pianist
and served in the Music Ministry of the Timpson First United Methodist Church and The
First Baptist Church of Waxahachie. Her warm, fun-loving personality and ready laugh
made her a delight to her family and her many friends. A life-long animal lover, Patricia
shared her home with a variety of cats and dogs, the number of which was frequently
increased by the adoption of stray or abandoned animals.


Patricia is survived by:
her son, Matthew Bowlin of Waxahachie
her daughter, Brittany Bowlin of Austin
her brother, Tad Bailey of Timpson
her nephews, Tom and Burt Hairgrove, and Ben and Will Bailey
her neice, Sarah Breedlove
her circle of precious friends
She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Thomas M. Hooper
her parents, Sherrill T. and Elisabeth M. Bailey
her sister, Gail Bailey Hairgrove
the father of her children, Jefffery L. Bowlin


Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 West Highway
287 Business in Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on 
Thursday, February 13, at the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie, located at 450 East
Highway 287, directly in front of the Waxahachie Sports Complex. A graveside service
and interment will be at 3 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson, Texas.
