Funeral services for Mr. Tommy Hunter will be held Friday, January 20, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine, Texas.  Visitation will be

Thursday, January 19, 2017, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wyman Roberts Chapel.

 

Mr. Hunter, age 75, was born September 20, 1941, in Panola County to the late Elmo and Eva Mae (Thompson) Hunter.  He passed away January 18, 2017, at his residence in San

Augustine.

 

After retiring from Pennzoil, Mr. Hunter served San Augustine County from 1993 until retiring in 2015 as Pct. #1 County Commissioner.  He worked faithful for over 20 years with the Junior Livestock Show and supported many of the youth activities.

 

He is survived by his wife Lattie Noble Hunter of San Augustine; daughters Becky Hunter of Livingston and Cissi Hunter Smith and husband Lee of Nacogdoches; son he got to choose David Wilkerson of San Augustine; sister Janice Lake and husband Maxie of Gary; grandchildren Shane and Elise Bridges, Scott and Kristin Bridges, Jeremy Bridges, LeAnn Smith, Nicholas and Kandice Smith; great-grandchildren Colt, Lane, Everett, Ellie, Reese, and Edwin.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dan Hunter.
