“Coach” Raymond Jackson, 76, of Tenaha, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015, at his residence.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Tenaha with Natalie Nelson and Bro. Andrew King officiating.  

 

Mr. Jackson was born February 24, 1939, in Gary, to Paul Allen Jackson and Annie Ruth Stevens Jackson.  He was lifetime member of Texas High School Coaches Association. Mr. Jackson coached basketball and football for 40 years.  He coached the Tenaha Tigers 1998 State Championship Football Team.  Mr. Jackson was a member of First Baptist Church in Tenaha.

Pallbearers will be Joe Adams, Jonathan Eubank, Kevin Blackmon, Randy Jackson, Jeremy Adams, Aaron Adams, Russell Jackson and Justin Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be all former football and basketball players.
