In front of a packed home crowd, the #14 Panola College Fillies upset #5 Tyler Junior College in a 5 game thriller: 25-15, 25-23, 17-25, 20-25, 15-8.
 
 
 
Hitting their highest team efficiency of the season, Panola was led by a pair of sophomores in Daphinie Correa and Rebecca Rabius. Correa racked up 14 kills with only 1 error, and Rabius added 12 hitting .526. Sabrina de Lima and Carol Santana contributed 8 kills each with de Lima adding 9 digs. Molly Harris and Bri McGown dished out 40 of the team’s 45 assists with 21 and 19, respectively. At the net, Thaynara Godoi led with 4 block assists while Alyssa Lozoya and Correa notched 3 each. Hannah Ramirez anchored the floor picking up 18 digs, with several rally saving plays on defense.
 
 
 
Panola will return to action this weekend at Cedar Valley College for a tri-match with the host and Region V powerhouse Hill College at 12 and 4pm.
