Wilsa Putman, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in Shelbyville.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Chris Collins and Bro. Mike Belgard officiating.  Interment will follow at Rather Cemetery in Shelbyville.


Mrs. Putman was born October 28, 1939, in Winston County, Alabama, to Elder Gaines and Audie Lee Gaines.  Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, cooking, and taking care of her family.


She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Leo “Paul” Putman; daughters, Genise Putman Saas (Ben) and Pamela Cole; sons, Keith Putman (Shonia) and Kyle Putman (Lisa); 18 grandchildren, Jason Franzese, Jessica Franzese, Jarah Franzese, Heather Saas,  Kristy Carnes, Alissa James, Jodi Mullins (Jonathan), Haley Dillon (Kirk), Keith Putman Jr. (Angie), Kandace Meisch (Victor), Amanda Linthicum, Kevin Putman, Matthew Putman (Mariah), Adam Copelin (Jennifer), Jessica Greer (BJ), Cade Copelin, Maya Putman, and Elijah Putman; and 32 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother, Meredith “Reedy” Gaines (Judy); and sisters, Deloris Verk (Larry) and Nina Waters. 


Preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Audie Lee Speer; children, Denise Putman and Kevin Putman; grandson, Cole Carswell; and son-in-law, Carlton Cole.


Pallbearers will be B.J. Greer, Cade Copelin, Austin Anderson, Kaleb James, Keith Putman Jr., Elijah Putman, Kyle Little, Jason Franzese, and Kevin Putman.
