Clifford grew up in Amarillo, and after high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the armed forces, Clifford served in World War II. After returning home, he married the love of his life, Judy in 1949, and the two spent a wonderful 60 years together before her passing. Clifford thoroughly enjoyed the company of others. He was a genuine “people person” who found great pleasure in conversation and laughter. He also liked to spend time fishing, playing dominoes and playing bingo. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Huxley and was an integral part of adding on the new addition to the church.

Clifford is survived by his sons, Rocky Hand and wife, Patricia, Stanley Hand and wife, Laneva and Richard Hand; and special friend, Marguerite Kuykendall.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy and his parents, W.B. and Montalee Hand.
