John Lloyd Kilpatrick, Jr., 52, of Joaquin, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2019 in Joaquin. He was born on April 8, 1966 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John Kilpatrick, Sr. and Kathleen Swan Kilpatrick. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Mangum Funeral Home with Bro. David Long officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to service time from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Mangum Funeral Home. 

John was a born and raised East Texas country boy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and spending all of his extra time in the woods enjoying nature. John had a genuinely great sense of humor and brought joy and laughter to any crowd. He graduated from Joaquin High School and was a member of Jackson Baptist Church.

John is survived by his mother, Kathleen Kilpatrick of Joaquin; brother, James Michael Kilpatrick of Joaquin; sister, Ellen Marcus and husband, Jeff of North Carolina; nieces, Emma Marcus and Abby Marcus, both of North Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Kilpatrick, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to benefit the new building fund at Jackson Baptist Church.
