Joaquin, TX – Funeral services honoring the life of Marie Plunkett, 79, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel. Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin, TX. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Logansport, LA on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Marie was born April 2, 1939 in Logansport, LA to Will and Mary Williams Foreman and entered into rest on November 25, 2018, at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She lived her life as a loving wife and devoted mother always putting Christ first in her life. Marie put others first and was quick to smile and possessed the gentlest of natures. She worked some jobs but devoted herself to family and doing for others.
Preceding Marie in death were her parents; daughter, Deborah Faye Childs; sisters, Lois Kurlo, Dorothy Foreman, Trudy Thomas; brothers, Edward, Bill, Buck and Todd Foreman; and grandchildren; Robert Robinson, Derrick Davis, and Joshua Randall Plunkett.
Those left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Plunkett of Joaquin, TX; son, Richard Plunkett, Jr. of Joaquin, TX; daughters, Linda Robinson and husband Randy of Carthage, TX, Christy Ansel and husband Jeffrey of Rawlings, MD; sister, Allene Lott of Keithville, LA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Honoring Marie as pallbearers will be Chase Brewton, Kenneth Miller, Dannie Ebey, Randy Downing, Dale Downing and Tommy Mathis.
As giving was her passion in lieu of flowers she would love to have donations made to Wounded Warriors, Eyes for the Blind, St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Lakota Children’s Reservation.
