Virgil Beckham, 80, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in Center.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Rev. Eric L. Garrett and Rev. Joe Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Joaquin.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Mr. Beckham was born December 24, 1937, in Joaquin, to Howard Beckham and Grace Guy Beckham. He retired from the City of Houston as a Chief Structural Inspector.  Mr. Beckham was a member of Logansport Missionary Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Bradley, Brandon Kessler, Chase Kneisly, Landen Beckham, Bryan Gibson and Cameron Gibson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Brooks, Rushing Lambert and Ricky Daw.
