Dave Edward DuBose Sr.

 

 

 

In loving memory of Dave Edward DuBose Sr.

 

It is with great sadness that the family of Dave Edward DuBose Sr. announces his passing after a brief illness, on October 28th, 2018 at the age of 85 years. 

 

Dave was born March 6, 1933, in Panola County, to Jennings Osward DuBose and Reba Rae Ware DuBose. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Tacoma, Washington Masonic Lodge #350 and First Baptist Church, Jacinto City. 

 

Dave will be lovingly remembered by his surviving family: wife of 65 years, Dorothy Jean Crow DuBose; 3 children, Dave Edward “Crockett” DuBose Jr., Darla DuBose Janik, Carla DuBose LeBlanc and their spouses, Tammy DuBose and John Janik; 7 Grandchildren, Carly, Drew, Beau, Connor, Shae, Dalton and Carson; 5 Great grandchildren, Mary Milum and Rush DuBose, Layne and Abygail, and Kaydence Dugan.

 

He will also be fondly remembered by his remaining 2 brothers, Ben and Ray DuBose; 1 sister, Martha Anthony Byrd (Sissy); Sisters-in-law, Helen and Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews; relatives and friends.  

 

He was pre-deceased by his beloved Father, Jennings Osward DuBose; and Mother, Reba Rae Ware DuBose; brothers: Jennings, Bryan, Bill, and Baby J.O.; sisters: Claudia Harper, Jean Ballard, and Mary Sue Chereene; as well as their respective spouses and many other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. Nov. 2, 2018 at Woods United Methodist Church, 383 CR 425, Tenaha, TX 75974 in Woods Community, Panola County.

Graveside service in honor of Dave will follow at 12:00 noon at Woods Cemetery with Bro. Mac Anthony officiating the service. 

 

Post rece ption, with lunch provided, to be held at the Woods United Methodist Church fellowship hall. 

 

Pallbearers will be Mr. DuBose’s grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Ballard, Raymond Harper, Chuck DuBose, Dwayne Land and John Janik.
