Joy Aline Wagstaff

 

 

Joy Aline Wagstaff, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, in Nacogdoches.

 

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Dreka Pentecostal Church in the Dreka Community of Shelby County with Bro. Lamar Denby and Bro. Don Windham officiating.  Interment will follow at Reynolds Cemetery.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.

 

Mrs. Wagstaff was born April 6, 1930, in San Augustine County, to Marion Henley and Ethel Mae Loggins Henley.  She enjoyed singing gospel songs, fishing, camping with her husband, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of Dreka Pentecostal Church. 

 

She is survived by

Jeanette Farris of Center
Charlene Sanders and husband, Richard, of Melrose
Gloria Jean Wagstaff of Shelbyville

Pallbearers will be Sonny Lowe, James A. Wagstaff, Randall Keith Wagstaff, Russell Hibbard, Denny Hibbard, James Sanders Jr., Jason Sanders, and Joshua Sanders.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Lee Wagstaff.

 

A special thanks to the personnel of Pine Grove Nursing Home and the doctors and staff at Nacogdoches Medical Center for their compassionate care.
