James A. Moore, 73, of Timpson, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in Timpson.
 
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018, at Windham Civic Center in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Windham Civic Center in Center with Bro. Ronnie Sowell officiating.  Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery in Timpson.
 
Mr. Moore was born September 28, 1944, in Rusk County, to James “Pete” Carney Moore and Jessie Fryman Moore.  He retired from The Texas Department of Public Safety.  Mr. Moore was a member of the Texas State Trooper’s Association and Good Hope Baptist Church.  His hobbies included fishing and hunting with family and being outdoors with his dogs.
