Stephens "Steve" B. Campbell

Stephens "Steve" B. Campbell, 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2018 in Nacogdoches. He was born on March 26, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Cyril Henry Campbell and Mary Inez Stephens Campbell. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Steve, as most knew him, loved to deep  sea fish. There was nothing like being out on the open water and casting a line out for those hidden treasures of the deep. He also liked collecting stamps; a passion he had pursued since the age of 12. Steve had an array of other hobbies and activities that he enjoyed like watching wrestling, playing pool and even trying his luck at gambling every once in a while. You also might have found him perusing the aisles of flea markets, garage sales, estate sales and auctions. Steve had a knack for old things and enjoyed shuffling through the antique items being sold at different places. He was of the Presbyterian faith.

Steve is survived by his wife, Bessie Annette (Kim) Campbell; son, Stephens Brady "Skip" Campbell, Jr. and wife, Cherri of Longview; daughter, Shelley Porter and husband, Jody of Center; grandchildren, Brian Campbell and wife, Jessica, Brieanna Campbell, Sabrina Campbell, Brittany Campbell, Kristy Campbell, Ashley Chandler and husband, Ryan, Colton Thompson and wife, Briana and Sarah Barbee and husband, Clay; great-grandchildren, Beaux Campbell, Drake Lutz, Racyn Chandler, Jace Thompson, Hallie Barbee and Chayton Barbee; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Mary Campbell; mother of his children, Bonnie Windham; and brother, Bobby Ray Campbell.
