Johnny Mack Brown, 65, of Tenaha, TX passed away February 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1952 in Spiro, OK to Lee Roy & Viola Brown.
Johnny Mack was drafted to the Army where he graduated top in his class at sniper school & went on to become a Paratrooper. While serving in the Vietnam War, he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal after surviving malaria & 9 days in a coma.
He was a jack of all trades with a work ethic like none other. A great provider & protector, always doing what he can to help others. His charismatic personality always made for exciting & interesting conversations. He will truly be missed by many.
He is survived by his daughters Shannon Ritter of Humble, TX; Amy Kennedy and husband, Dusty of Searcy, AR; Kim Headly and husband, Brian of Stuttgart, AR; Amber Savoy and husband, Joshua of Houston, TX.
Siblings Dorothy Ables and husband, Curtis; Alice Marshall and husband Willie Ray; Roy Thomas Brown and wife, Opal; Lewis Ray Brown and wife, Linda; Ruth Hollis and husband, Gene; David Brown and wife, Jeanette.
Grandchildren Casey Henrikson, Brandon Bradley, Justin Headly, Derrick Willis, Ariana Arredondo, Hannah Willis, Illianna Kennedy, Mariah Savoy, Simona Kennedy, Avalon Ritter, & Mackenzie Savoy.
Great-Grandchildren Brylee & Sawyer Barks.
And many nieces & nephews.
Memorial will be held at his residence on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 1 p.m.
