Thomas Edward Tidwell, 75, of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after battling a long illness.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Corinth Cemetery in Shelby County with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating.
Thomas was born November 2, 1942, in Timpson, to J.E. Tidwell and Lorene Mims Tidwell. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army/Texas National Guard. Over the years, Thomas enjoyed fishing with his daughter, drag races, watching football games and enjoying a beer around a good campfire. Thomas spent his last days in the care of his loving family celebrating a wonderful 75 years of life.

Pallbearers will be Elvis Rawlinson, Mike Rawlinson, Rober Glaser, Robert Bearden and Donald Rhodes. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Mabry, Tyler Webb, Cameron Ross and Charles Denton.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be given to a local VFW in further support of veterans or Henderson High School Agricultural Program.
