Lula Belle Nutter

 

Lula Belle Nutter, 87, of Shelbyville, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Center, Texas.  She was born on June 20, 1930 in Hico, West Virginia to Walter Lee Norman and Minnie Belle Carte Norman.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Mangum Funeral Home. 
 
Lula was born and raised in Hico, West Virginia where she graduated from Hico High School. After graduation, Lula married Lyle Clifford “Buck” Nutter on February 24, 1950 and she made a life as a homemaker. Lula enjoyed leading a simple life, but one full of laughter and love. She knew her way around the kitchen and loved cooking. She also had a great time on trips to the casino. Most of all, Lula treasured the moments spent with her children and grandchildren. 
Lula is survived by sons, Clifford Nutter and wife, Denise and Rick Nutter and wife, Jan; daughters, Cindy Tate and husband, Don, and Bonnie Hawver and husband, Ken; grandchildren, David Ford and wife, Lien, Jeremy Ford and wife, Myra, Chane Stanley and wife, Janet, Janan Kent and husband, Eric, John Nutter and wife, Shareal, Brad Nutter and wife, Lori, Josh Hawver and wife, Katie, and Brittany Bland and husband, Matt; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 
 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Clifford “Buck” Nutter; her parents, Walter and Minnie Belle Norman; one son, Teddy Nutter; brothers, JC Norman, Lee “Shorty” Norman, Leonard Norman, Odie Norman, and Clinton “CC” Norman; and sisters Blaine Norman and Rachel Norman.
