Alvin Willoughby

 

Alvin Willoughby, 78, passed away on September 1, 2017 in Humble, Texas. He was born in Center, Texas on April 28, 1939 to John Elvin Willoughby and Gertrude Broadway Willoughby. Funeral services for Mr. Willoughby will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 4, 2017 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel in Center, Texas with Rev. Andy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Mangum Funeral Home. 
 
Alvin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who thoroughly enjoyed every second spent with his family and friends. “Dood,” as he was often called, could be found on the open road riding his motorcycle whenever he had the chance. 
 
Alvin is survived by his sons, Tony Willoughby and wife, Traci of Center, Texas and Shane Willoughby and wife, Maria of Cleveland, Texas; step-daughters, Carol Morgan of Cleveland, Texas and Leigh Crouch of Cleveland, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Angel Minter, Carlos Lecksma, Waylon Willoughby, Wyatt Willoughby, Heavenlee Willoughby, Britlee Sullivan, Levi Willoughby, Lincoln Willoughby, Austin Craig, Hagan Craig, Dusti Willoughby, Terri Marshal, and John Willoughby; and eight great-grandchildren.
 
He is preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Elsie Willoughby; parents, John Elvin and Gertrude Willoughby; one son, Rodney Willoughby; Janice Willoughby and Jean Willoughby.
 
Pallbearers for Mr. Willoughby’s service will be Billy Bob McAdams, Lonnie Dodd, Dick Gee, Josh McAdams, Raymond Singltary and Roe Belrose.
