Dick Ezra Parker

 

Dick Ezra Parker, 99, of Tenaha, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at his residence
 
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Tenaha with Rev. Matt Cecil officiating.  Military honors graveside service will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Shelby County under the direction of VFW Post 8904.  Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
 
Mr. Parker was born April 30, 1918, in Tenaha, to J. T. Ford Parker and Bessie Bogard Parker.  He served in the United States Army.  Mr. Parker enjoyed quail hunting and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.  He was an excellent story teller.  Mr. Parker was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tenaha.  He was a lifetime cattleman and enjoyed spending time on his farm.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Menefee, Joe Lynn Williams, Brack Harrison, Richard Parker, Dustin Abernathy and Dalton Parker.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Browning, Roland Cross, Charles Hooker, John Griffin, Guy Griffin and Wade David.
