Ouida Gail Springer Garrett, 78, of Logansport, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at her residence.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Logansport with Rev. Timothy Roberson, Rev. Charles Hall and Rev. Eric L. Garrett officiating.  Interment will follow at Price Memorial Cemetery in Logansport.  Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

 

Mrs. Garrett was born August 28, 1938, in Converse, Louisiana, to Starlin C. Springer and Ovada Lum Springer.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church in Logansport, where she was actively involved in the Vota Vita Sunday School Class.

 

She is survived by

Husband: Robert L. “Bobby” Garrett of Logansport, Louisiana

Rev. Eric L. Garrett and wife, Denise, of Lake Village, Arkansas

Robert Marc Garrett of Santa Barbara, California

 

Daughter: Sue Sue Boyett and husband, Jeremy, of Logansport, Louisiana

Amanda Gibson and husband, Brian, of Greenville, Mississippi

Lisa Shamburger and husband, Holden, of Tyler

Hannah Garrett and fiancé, Cameron, of Greenville, Mississippi

Levi Manalli of Logansport, Louisiana

Ainsley Boyett of Logansport, Louisiana

 

Great Granddaughter: Isabella Gibson of Greenville, Mississippi

Parents: Starlin C. Springer and Ovada Lum Springer
