Melissa Powdrill Bailey, 51, of Center, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Nacogdoches.

 

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Bobby Bressman officiating.

 

Mrs. Bailey was born February 12, 1965, to Charles Powdrill and Ruth Mitchell Powdrill.  She was assistant manager of HEB, in Center, for over fourteen years. Mrs. Bailey was adventurous and fearless.  She enjoyed scuba diving, zip lining and riding jet skis on the ocean. She also enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.  Mrs. Bailey was a member of First Baptist Church in Center.

 

She is survived by

Step Son: Tyler Bailey of Center

 

Sister: Peggy Woodfin and husband, Neil, of Center

 

Brother: Mike Powdrill and wife, Sheila, of Joaquin

 

Father-in-law: John Bailey and wife, Linda, of Venus

 

Mother-in-law: Christene Morrison and husband, Harold, of Greenville, Mississippi

 

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives
