Maurice Scott, 81, of Center, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, in Nacogdoches.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Levard Swindle officiating. Interment will follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Shelby County.
Mr. Scott was born August 18, 1935, in Shelby County, to Austin Tracy Scott and Florene Bittick Scott. He was an avid horse lover and an accomplished guitar player. He was of the Jehovah’s Witness Faith.
