J. C. Vaughn, 79, of Huxley, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, in Center.
 
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Billy Windham and Masonic Brother Clarence Denby officiating.  Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.
 
Mr. Vaughn was born October 5, 1936, in Shelby County to Jim Vaughn and Gladys Snider Vaughn.  He was a retired member of Boilermakers LU 587, a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Sam Houston Masonic Lodge #32, where he served as Master Mason.

Pamela Schroeder and husband, Rick, of Pasadena
Charlotte Gunn and husband, Keith, of Biloxi, Mississippi
 
Son: Clay Vaughn of Huxley

Pallbearers will be Larry O’Rear, Keith O’Rear, Dana Weldon, Dale Ray Lumpkin, Darren Whiteside and Mack O’Rear.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dudley Cox, O.L. “Tootie” Hindrick, Larry Buckley, Royce Buckley, Alvis Buckley and Jerry Cockrell.
