The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Shelby Beautiful Clean committee recently announced Ron Bogue of Center as the recipient of the Yard of the Month recognition for May.  He is located at 208 Kennedy Street. A certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. Bogue for outstanding beautification contributions, along with the traditional Yard of the Month sign.  The recipient of the Yard of the Month is recognized for enlightening and achieving general beautification, exceeding local standards and demonstrating excellence in community landscape. Jodi Fountain serves as chairman for the Shelby Beautiful Clean committee, and says it’s hoped that other residential property owners will follow example. Shelby Beautiful Clean is an affiliate of both Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful. In addition to public recognition of businesses and individuals, the committee coordinates Shelby Spring Clean, recycling, general beautification projects and Shelby Fall Clean.
