At their called meeting Wednesday, the Center ISD Board of Trustees recognized Center Middle School students, staff and programs. Middle School principal Matt Gregory advised the board that the "What a Difference a Day Makes" display, that's located in the middle school's library was created by the school's fine arts students and will be display in San Antonio on May 18. He also introduced Sheila Haddox s the Center Middle School Teacher of the Year. In addition, Center Middle School students were recognized for their accomplishments during the 2013-2014 school year.

Center ISD trustees voted to hire the following personnel at the meeting. They include: Alex Cloudy as Center Middle School science teacher/coach; Debra Hippler, Center Intermediate School 4th/5th grade math/science teacher; Gregory Rowe as Center Middle School social studies teacher; and Chelsi White as Center Elementary School Life Skills instructor.
