Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 this afternoon at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 4 at Strong Cemetery. Among Jose Gorgonio Valencia-Ramirez survivors are, wife, Maria Salazar of Mexico; daughters, Eduarda Valencia and Maria Jesus Valencia of Mexio; sons, Raymundo Valencia Santes of Center, Nieves Valencia of Shelbyville, Jose Valencia of Center and Jose Gorgonio Valencia of North Carolina.

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a memorial service for 82-year old Calvin Monroe “Pete” Cates of Shelbyville. He passed away April 29 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Memorial service will be at 1 Saturday, May 17, at Ephesus Baptist Church in Shelbyville. Among Calvin Monroe “Pete” Cates’ survivors are, nieces, Regina Martin of Georgia and Janice Cates of Mississippi; and sister-in-law, Teresa Cates of Georgia.
