The average price for a gallon of regular gas statewide is running about $3.43 a gallon, down four cents in the past week, according to gasbuddy.com. In Louisiana, a gallon’s averaging $3.44, down two pennies in the past week. Nationally, the average is $3.64, which is up 13 cents from the same period a year ago. Here at home, checking prices this morning in Center, the lowest we found was $3.44 at Walmart, which is down three cents from last week.
