Natural Gas Vehicle Workshop Planned May 21 in Center

The Economic Development Committee of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce has formed an Energy Task Force to host a Natural Gas Vehicle Workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 at the Windham Civic Center.

 

The day will begin with an overview of the Natural Gas Industry, followed by CenterPoint Energy's perspective as a gas supplier. Presentations will cover vehicle conversions and CNG fueling stations and equipment as well. CNG transition for school districts will be addressed along with a bus exhibit.

 

State Senator Robert Nichols will be the keynote speaker following a lunch buffet. Sen. Nichols will discuss "The Future of Natural Gas in Texas".

 

The public is invited to hear the industry specialist discuss vehicle conversions and fueling options as the community faces the future.

 

Registration is required by Wednesday, May 14 by calling the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce at 598-3682. Lunch is included in the $10 fee.
