Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 64-year old Ronald Hoyt Patterson of Center. He passed away Monday at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Wednesday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 Thursday at Powdrill Cemetery in Center. Among Ronald Hoyt Patterson’s survivors are, sons, Tyler Patterson of Tyler, Sean Patterson of Houston and Jason Patterson of Alaska; sisters, Florine Rudd of Jackson, Tenn., and Deborah Beckers of Port Neches. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church for youth summer camp.

 

Watson & Sons announces service for 6-year old Logan Joel Simmons of Center. Logan was a first grade student at Excelsior ISD. Service will be at 2 this afternoon at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Shady Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches County. Among Logan Simmons survivors are, his parents, Michael and Sarah Simmons of Center; sisters, Breonna Simmons and MaKenna Simmons of Center; grandparents, Rhonda Alexander of Corrigan, Ronnie McCarty of Nacogdoches, Kay Williams of Nacogdoches and Kennith Simmons of Tawakoni; great grandparents, Ann and Robert Malnar of Corrigan, Wesley Alexander of Nacogdoches, Betty and Walter McCarty of Nacogdoches and Woody Simmons of Tawakoni; and great great grandparent, Margarette Kinder of Cleveland.

Vaughn of Shelbyville; daughter, Charlotte Gunn of Biloxi, MS; mother, Helen Buchanan of Pineville, La.; sisters, Dottie Hall of Pennsylvania and Barbi Kokemor of Pineville, Louisiana; step-children, Clay Vaughn of Huxley and Pamela Schroeder of Pasadena. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 Wednesday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Strong Cemetery in Huxley. Among Cindy Hargrove Sharp’s survivors are, her husband, Richard Sharp of Joaquin; daughter, Kasey Hargrove of Joaquin; sons, Richard Sharp, Jr. “Little Man”, and Jamie Carroll, both of Joaquin; sisters, Kim Bridges of Center and Jessica Hargrove of Shelbyville; brother, Jared Hargrove of Shelbyville; and father, Johnny Hargrove of Shelbyville.

 

We report the death of 60-year old Kenneth Burt “Bubba” Koonce of Houston. He passed away April 19, and was a 1972 graduate of Center High School. Among Kenneth Burt “Bubba” Koonce’s survivors are, his wife Barbara Koonce; father, Bertie Koonce; daughter, Sarah Johnson; son, Alan Koonce; brother, Keith Koonce; and sister, Kelly Parker.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 71-year old Mary Mixon of Huxley, a resident of Pine Grove Nursing Home. Service will be at 1 today at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Wimberley Cemetery in Huxley. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at Mangum Funeral Home. Among Mary Mixon's survivors are daughters, Jeanie Matheny and Renee Dorsey of Huxley; sisters, Nelva Jean Wallace of Henderson, Juanita Dean LaGrone of Deadwood and JoNell LaGrone of Deadwood; and a special friend, Hazel McKenzie of Center.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces service for 79-year old Mrs. Lorene Garrett of Center. Service will be at 11 this morning at St. Paul Baptist Church in Center, with interment at Westview Cemetery in Center. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11. Among Lorene Garrett’s survivors are nephews, James Moore of San Augustine and Steve Moore of Nacogdoches; a niece, Lannette Scott of Center.
