Awards Handed Out at Chamber Banquet Last Night

The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce held its 92nd annual Awards Banquet last night at the Windham Civic Center, as Nacogdoches Medical Center Chief Operating Officer Clay Farell was the guest speaker. He said construction continues on schedule for the new 24/7 Emergency/Outpatient Facility being constructed in Center at Hwy. 96 south and Loop 500. He projects a December opening.

 

There were several awards presented as part of the program, including Farm Family of the Year, going to Malcom & Kristi Brown of Shelbyville; Young Citizen of the Year, awarded to Joey Lawson; and Distinguished Service Award to Shelby County Judge Rick Campbell. In addition, Chamber President, Dr. Randy Collard presented the President’s Volunteer Award to Meg Camp.
