Timpson PD officer recovers stolen vehicle during traffic stop

The Timpson Police Department recovered a stolen vehicle during a routine traffic stop early Monday morning on U.S. Hwy. 59.

 

Chief Kent Graham says Officer Thomas Jernigan pulled over a Ford 3/4 ton 4-door pickup at 5:20 a.m. and during the process discovered the pickup was reported to be taken from the Baytown area that morning.

 

Arrested were two white males, 48-year old Terrel Tucker of Thicket, and 37-year old Cody Breeland of Ben Wheeler.

 

Chief Graham said during inventory of the vehicle, a small amount of meth and prescription medication was found. Tucker was charged with Unlawful use of a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence, while both men were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug.

 

They remain in the Shelby County Jail
