The Center ISD Board of Trustees have a regular meeting at 6 tonight, and among the agenda items for discussion and consideration, are: renewal of student accident insurance. Superintendent Dr. James Hockenberry said the district is looking at an annual increase of $1,770 overall.

In addition, the board will discuss updating the district’s 1:1 digital learning initiative with current 6^th and 9^th grade students, this includes the infrastructure support. Dr. Hockenberry said there will also be a review of the entire district computer inventory of which many will not support new software that is often times necessary to run certain required operations.

In addition, the school board will consider and possibly approve state changes to the local curriculum for incoming freshman as mandated by House Bill 5; and trustees will receive Texas Association of School Board policy updates.

Trustees will also consider approval of Dr. Hockenberry to the Region 7 Regional Advisory Committee, and nomination to the Region 7 Executive Committee.
