Center Fireman say a Center woman and her baby escaped without injury Saturday afternoon when the vehicle she was driving caught fire and was destroyed. The incident occurred on U.S. Hwy. 96 North near Flat Fork Creek just before 12:30. Kursti Agnew said she was driving the Jeep Grand Cherokee when it died. After steering to the shoulder she attempted to crank it, that’s when she smelled smoke and was able to get out of the vehicle with the infant. Authorities say the vehicle was registered to Susan Tyler of Center.
