Carthage High School Student Among Three Shot Dead in Longview

The Panola Watchman newspaper in Carthage is reporting a Carthage High School student was one of three people killed in a Longview shooting last Sunday. Josiah “Joey” Hollister, a sophomore student, was confirmed as one of the victims by Carthage ISD Superintendent Dr. Glenn Hambrick. The shooting occurred around 5 Sunday afternoon. The incident continues under investigation, as one man’s body was found in the parking lot of a Denny’s Restaurant in Longview, another at a residence, and a third at Good Shepherd Medical Center, who’s been identified as a 35-year old Longview man. Longview authorities arrested a DeBerry man, 22-JaCory DeWayne Williams for allegedly tampering with evidence in relation to the shooting. Supposedly, Williams threw a firearm out of a car.
