Shelby Savings Bank announces the election of Robert Harris to the bank’s Branch Advisory Board. Shelby Savings Bank president and chief operating officer Will Lucas said the bank was proud to welcome Robert to the advisory board. Lucas added, Robert knows East Texas, and he knows and understands East Texas agriculture. Lucas said Harris was going to be a great asset for Shelby Savings Bank and for all customers. Robert Harris is a graduate of West Sabine High School, attended Tyler Jr. College and SFA, receiving a degree in agriculture education. Harris taught ag at Madisonville High School and worked for Holly Farms and Tyson Foods as a service tech. He and his family have several chicken farms and raise cattle. Harris is married to Stacy Archer Harris and they have three children. Lucas also thanked retiring Advisory Board member Bernard Wood for his years of service to Shelby Savings Bank.
