Funeral Notices: 3/28/14

Mangum Funeral Home announces service for 93-year old Audrey Williams of Nederland, formerly of Joaquin. Service will be at 10 Saturday at Jackson Missionary Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 this afternoon at Mangum Funeral Home. Among Audrey Williams’ survivors are 2 sons, Jerry Williams of Nederland and Forrest Williams of Salem, Ark.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 88-year old Ruthelma Lou Adams of Center. Graveside service will be at 2 Sunday at Newburn Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service beginning at noon Sunday. Among Ruthelma Lou Adams’ survivors are two sons, Gale Adams and Riley Adams, both of Nacogdoches; a daughter, Lou Evelyn Adams of Center; and brother, J.W. Braden of Center. Lou Adams worked for the City of Center as a secretary for 14 years, Executive secretary for the Fairchild Law Firm for 17 years, First National Bank for 3 years and Hawkeye Hunting Club for 7 years.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home announces service for 71-year old Dewey H. Rash of San Augustine. Service will be at 11 this morning at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, cremation to occur afterwards with interment in the Sardis Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today. Among Dewey H. Rash’s survivors, are his son, Dewey Hermon Rash, Jr. of San Augustine; daughter, Gayla Miller of Shelbyville; brothers, Thomas Rash of Arizona, Billy Rash of Lufkin, and Paul Rash of Lufkin; sisters, Betty Ramono of Oklahoma, Jeanette Buck of Houston and Pam Rash of Houston.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home announces service for 78-year old Bill “Billy” Simmons of San Augustine. Service will be at 11 Saturday at First United Methodist Church in San Augustine, with burial at Myrtle Spring Cemetery in Sabine County. Visitation will be 5 to 8 this evening at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. His survivors include daughters, Renae Simmons of Houston; Rhonda Simmons of College Station; Brenda Steptoe of San Augustine and Lisa Sandidge of Lufkin.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 88-year old Bernard Barclay. He passed away Thursday in San Augustine. Graveside service will be at 4 Saturday at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville. Among Bernard Barclay’s survivors are his sisters, Susie Martin of Larue and Julia Colbey of New Caney; and a brother, Bobby Joe Barclay of San Augustine.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces funeral service for 12-year old Ja'merion La'Vincent Roe Gray of Tenaha. A Wake will be held from 7 to 9 this evening at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Center. Service will be at 1 Saturday at Benford Chapel Baptist Church in Tenaha with interment at St. John Cemetery in Tenaha. Ja'merion La'Vincent Roe Gray is survived by his mother, Cassandra Horton of Tenaha, fathe, Rodney Gray of Tenaha; 2 sisters, Melisa McCollister of Center, and Latishana Gray of Tenaha; and 2 brothers, Rodney Gray of Tenaha and Devante' Gray of Center.

 

Community Funeral Home of Timpson announces funeral service for 77-year old Mrs. Lillie Mae Perry of Garrison. She passed away Wednesday at her residence in Garrison. Service will be at 1 Saturday at Mt. Olive CME Church in Garrison, with interment at North Redland Cemetery in Appleby. Lillie Mae Perry is survived by a sister, Velma (Doll) Bass Evans of Dallas; and a brother, James (Buddy) Bass of Dallas.

 

Community Funeral Home of Center announces pending service for 89-year old Mrs. Dora House of Joaquin. She passed away Thursday morning at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
