Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces a memorial service for 83-year old Mrs. Wanda Mayo Koonce of the Silas Community near Timpson. She passed away last Thursday in Nacogdoches. Memorial service will be at 11 this morning at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. before the service. Among Wanda Mayo Koonce’s survivors are her husband, Bertie Koonce of Timpson; sons, James Henning of Austin, Raymond Henning of Mt. Funeral service will be held at 2, Tuesday in Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at 2 Wednesday in Bean Cemetery, Kirbyville. A visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday this evening at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 5 this afternoon at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Watson & Sons Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until service time. Among D.S. (Shug) Jones’ survivors are his brother, Joe Lewis Jones of Center; and his children, Dalton Brittain Jones of Center, Damon Jones of Center, Leisa Jones Webster and Roderick Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations to First United Church of Center, Alzheimer Association, or Center Roughrider Scholarship Fund in memory of D.S. (Shug) Jones.
