DeSoto Parish Crime Stoppers needs your help in finding the thieves that took brass and steel valves over the weekend from oil storage tanks in Keatchi, that resulted in the contamination of a creek. DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office officials say the valves were taken from tanks owned by the J O’Brian Operating Company. The open valves caused 60 barrels of oil and 375 barrels of salt water to pour into the creek. Law enforcement say water and soil were contaminated, but cleanup crews were able to contain the spill to the creek area.
