Tyler County: 4 Family Members Arrested in Connection with Double-Murder

Down in Tyler County, sheriff’s officers have four suspects in custody in connection with the January double-murder of a Zavalla couple. The arrests came yesterday, the same day a Tyler County grand jury indicted four family members, Kristen, Letha, Paul and Cameron Westfall on a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity in the deaths of Nathan “Brad” and Krystal Maddox, who were ambushed and gunned down as they were leaving a church in Colmesneil on Jan. 18 following a court-ordered visitation with Maddox’s 4-year old daughter. Nathan Maddox was Kristen Westfall’s former husband. She, along with her mother and father, and brother were apprehended following a traffic stop in Colmesneil. They were booked into the Tyler County Jail with bond set at $1-million apiece.
