Search Continues for San Augustine Man

We brought you a news story Monday concerning a missing San Augustine County man, and authorities are saying they don’t suspect foul play is involved in the disappearance of 53-year old Allen Ray McKinney on Feb. 21. S

 

an Augustine County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Gary Cunningham is saying his department has tried to locate McKinney using traditional methods but to no avail. He said family members weren’t initially concerned, thinking he may have gone off on an excursion, and Chief Cunningham says McKinney had not had any arguments with family members, and doesn’t have any physical or mental issues, and no known drug problem.

 

Authorities do know McKinney used his cell phone once within 48 hours of missing, and used his debit card to make small cash withdrawals in Lufkin and Splendora, and a small purchase in Galveston County.

 

Allen Ray McKinney was last seen leaving his home at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 driving a 1999 Green 4-door Ford Explorer with Texas License plate C-R-G 0751.

 

Allen Ray McKinney is described to be 5-11, 230 pounds, with mostly gray, shaved hair with blue eyes.
