No Ice Today, Things Back to Normal

After dealing with delays, closures, power outages, hazardous driving conditions and eventually falling icicles, it looks like we’re pretty well back to normal this morning.

Keep in mind the frozen precipitation we had Tuesday night-Wednesday morning for the most part has melted, thanks to a good dose of cold sunshine yesterday afternoon as temperatures rose into the 40s. However, the melted precipitation re-froze overnight on roadways and especially bridges and overpasses as temperatures dipped back into the 20s overnight. Watch out for Icy roadways this morning. We have a freezing fog advisory until 9. Watch out for patchy dense fog that may form Black Ice on elevated bridges and overpasses.

We now have around 5 days of sunshine forecast with temperatures around 60 today, rising to near 70 Friday and Saturday and low 70s by Sunday & Monday. Amazing how the weather can change in 24 hours.
