Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces pending funeral service for 64-year old Donald E. Wilson of Center. He passed away Tuesday in Shreveport. Funeral service is pending.

 

A longtime Center resident and former KDET employee, 70-year old Bobby Lynn Harkness, passed away Monday at a Newton nursing home following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Among Bobby Lynn Harkness’ survivors are his daughter, Christina of Prentiss, MS his sisters Joyce LaBoyteaux of Newton, and Gloria Lyons of Theodore, AL, and his brother Philip Doyle of Fort Worth. A memorial service will be held in Center at a future date. Those wishing to make donations to Alzheimer's Association in Bobby Harkness’ name may do so at www.alz.org.

 

Mangum Funeral Home announces funeral service for 79-year old Loyce Yvonne Andrews Johnson of Center. Service will be at 1 p.m. this afternoon at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Among Loyce Yvonne Andrews Johnson’s survivors are her husband, Fred Johnson of Center; daughters, Pam Sanford and Karen Albert of Center; and sister, Mauddie Gilchrist of Center.

 

Sid Roberts Funeral Home of Nacogdoches announces funeral service for Wytona Gregory-Tanner. She passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5 in Houston. Service will be at 1 today at Pleasant Hill CME Church in Tenaha with burial at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Wytona Gregory-Tanner is survived by her husband, Robert Tanner; three daughters, Tee Duncan of Nacogdoches, Ty Duncan of San Augustine and Ta of San Augustine; four sisters, Tasha Evans, LaKala Gaines, Kera Fox and Tori Gregory; and three brothers, Derrick Gregory, Shane Gregory and Chass Gregory.

 

 

Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces a graveside service for 60-year old Mr. Marion O’Neil “Bo” Whiteside of Gary. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson. Marion O’Neil “Bo” Whiteside is survived by son, Randy Whiteside of Rush Springs, OK, and Jason Whiteside of Gary; brothers, Kenneth Whiteside of Timpson and James Whiteside of Longview; and sisters, Patsy Bright of White Oak, and Betty Shields of Longview.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a memorial service for 81-year old Lessie Sowell of Center. Memorial service will be at 2 Thursday at Holiday Nursing Home in Center. Among Lessie Sowell’s survivors are her children, Marvin Sowell of Center, Isaac Sowell of Ore City, Darryl Sowell of Nacogdoches, Sharon Barnett of Sherman, Barbara Emerson of Rusk, Jamie Bosquez of Waco, Calvin Bannett and Matt Bennett both of Texas; two sisters, Virginia Sargent of Nacogdoches and Curly Moore of Woden; and a brother, Gus Moore of Chireno.
