New Emergency Facility Groundbreaking Today

Nacogdoches Medical Center will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at 11 this morning to kick-off construction of their new $7.5-million 24-hour satellite emergency department, and diagnostic imaging center. The 10-thousand sq. ft. facility is being built on the hospital’s four acres at Hwy. 96 south and Loop 500 in Center. The public is invited to join the hospital and local leaders to celebrate the occasion. The satellite emergency department will provide emergency services for adults and children. It will be staffed by experienced, board-certified physicians with direct access to surgeons and specialty physicians.  Construction is scheduled to be complete by this fall, and will employ from 30 to 40 health care professionals.
