Friday, October 18^th is Recognition of Women in Service Day.  This year we will honor World War II US Marine Mildred Lawson Partlow.   Mildred was a 1939 graduate of Center High School and arrangements have been made to include her in the Center ISD Veterans Wall of Honor.  She passed away in 2002 and is the wife of post life member Darrell Partlow.

We will have a short observance at Center HS Friday at 9:30 am to dedicate her plaque.  To be included please arrive at the front of the school at 9:00 am and bring a photo ID.

Thanks to Assistant Principal Rick Baker of Center Elementary for helping get the plaque made.  Rick is a SMSgt in the USAF Reserve and a big supporter of our post/auxiliary.
